Bsc in Education and Child Studies
As a student of the Dutch bachelor programme of Education and Child Studies you will study two traditional, yet exciting phenomena: child rearing and teaching. In every era, culture and society children are raised, and they go to school. How does that work, what circumstances allow this to take place without any problems, and why does it sometimes go wrong? These are some of the questions you will examine during your study, and for which you will seek explanations. This is not just interesting, it is also useful. Education and Child specialists can apply their knowledge to help resolve problems in child-rearing and education.

How do conflicts between people arise? Is intelligence inherited or can you train for intelligence? What is the most effective leadership style? What does ‘falling in love’ mean? Why do people become depressed, and what can be done about it? These are some of the issues that psychologists deal with. They study these issues systematically and try to provide an answer based on the results of their research. These and more are dealt with in the Dutch bachelor programma in Psychology.

BSc in Public Administration
The Dutch bachelor progrmme in Public Administration focuses on the complex problems within the government and public sector. It can cover anything from policies on asylum seekers, golden handshakes and the direct election of mayors to implementing a referendum and police detection methods. These are just some of the concerns of public administration in the Netherlands. But this subject has a wider context. The Netherlands is part of the European Union, and developments within the EU have an effect on public administration in the Netherlands. But what effects are we referring to? That is an excellent question to start a study on Public Administration.
