After arrival

The Admissions Office will guide you through the unavoidable administrative hassles surrounding your residence permit and proper enrolment at the university.

The details of the exact procedure to follow may vary form year to year, but in general the following steps are required to be able to enrol and obtain you student ID card:

0. visit the Visitor's Centre for an information package
1. Sign your housing contract
2. Open a bank account (if necessary)
3. Arrange your residence permit and registration at Town hall (if necessary)
NOTE: The Admissions Office will help you with both during your "Registration Appointment". You cannot apply for the residence permit by yourself
5. Attend your Town Hall appointment (if you staying longer that 4 months) to obtain proof of registration (necessary to be able to enrol as student at a Dutch university).
6. Pay outstanding tuition fees (fee-paying students only)

Already admitted?

Soon after you have been admitted you will automatically receive the appropriate instructions valid for that period.
